Lying in the cold

Amid the tragic effects of the heavy rains and resultant flood waters, the government issued eviction notices to those living on riparian land. Those who did not obey were subjected to forceful ejection from their homes, with their houses being demolished. The government promised to attend to them, and support them, but some say they the only government response they have interacted with are pronouncements on television. Through exclusive footage and first persons' accounts, NTV will tomorrow, Sunday the 26th of May, bring you the raw reality of the experiences of the victims, with specific focus on the Mukuru Kayaba slums, here in Nairobi.
