Once A Criminal...
Mid 2016, police found themselves dealing with a new and awkward form of crime. Criminal gangs in Kisauni, mombasa were reportedly waylaying women and suckling their breasts. Months earlier and those that would follow, the gangs attacked their victims with machetes fatally wounding dozens and in most cases causing life threatening injuries. Most people now walk in Kisauni with scars inflicted by the gangs.
To understand why they did it and how coordinated the gangs were, NTV set out on a journey to speak to former members of the dreaded Wakali Kwanza and Wakali Wao gangs and now we can present this special report – ONCE A CRIMINAL, Inside the dreaded lives of Kisauni Gangs.
