Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor John Barorot quits after landing CEO job abroad

Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor John Barorot has resigned.

This was confirmed Monday by County Governor Jonathan Bii, who revealed that his deputy has secured another job.

Barorot tendered his resignation after holding a crisis meeting with his boss Jonathan Bii at an Eldoret hotel, before addressing a crowd outside the Governor’s office to announce his exit.

The county boss said Mr Barorot is heading to an international organisation in the ICT sector.

“I have enjoyed the two years as Deputy Governor although transforming from the private sector to public has not been easy. The public field has it own challenges,” said Eng Barorot.

Governor Bii said he will appoint another person to replace him.
